The St. Louis Ghost Train Article

The St. Louis Light has been a proud Saskatchewan phenomenon for nearly a century. St. Louis is a small town just south of Prince Albert that once had train tracks near it. Although the tracks have been removed since 1954, a train has been reported to have been seen travelling through where the tracks once were. Rumour has it that almost a century ago a drunk brakeman made a mistake and didn't pull the brake early enough and the train passed by when he wasn't expecting it and he was decapitated. Some believe he's carrying a lantern going up and down the tracks looking for his head, and others believe he is now driving the train to warn others and not have to share the same fate.
There have been many witnesses over the years who have claimed to have seen the light. A very excited and scared witness once said, "We sat there for about an hour, and nothing was happening," Gareau recalled. "And then all of a sudden we saw this light. It was just like a train coming. A bright light coming at us, with a little red light towards the bottom." Although there have been multiple studies of what this light could be, nothing has been proven.
The St. Louis Ghost train is no random occurence only seen by a few spectators as well. There have been many reports of people seeing this light, and there have also been many theories of what it could be as well.
One very popular theory is that it could be headlights from vehicles on the highway beyond the sight. When the vehicles on the highway pass by the light illuminated from the headlights can be concentrated and seen as a small bright light, that’s one theory. However, many do not believe this theory could possibly be true because some have reported the light being quite large, larger than any headlights that could be seen from the distant highway, and also claim to have heard the train. Whether this is a true paranormal activity, or a figment of peoples paranoid imaginations, it has entertained and haunted the small town for many years. Whether you believe it or not, do you dare see for yourself?
