The Ravine Dragon

The ravine dragon is a very unknown and mysterious creature. The variety of people have never even heard of the thing, but the ones who have will never be the same.. dun, dun, dunnnn.

Nothing has ever come up about the ravine dragon, until the day little Johnny went hunting with his dad. There had never been any sightings or even talk about this creature, the story that little Johnny experienced, seemed to be the first ever sighting of the thing. It wasn't yet hunting season, but little Johnny and his dad liked to live on the edge. One early school day morning they set out down to the old family river land just to "check" things out. They both took their guns and made their way down the trails. They spotted a few decent bucks, a bunch of coyotes and even a moose. It was almost time for little Johnny to go get smart at school, but his dad wanted to take one last look around the ravine for any real “money makers.” As they passed the oak tree little Johnny stopped in his tracks. Looking around, into the bushes and towards the river. His dad did not have a clue what the problem was, until about ten seconds later. A rustling came from just down in the ravine, from the noise of rustling it sounded like it could be a good sized deer, or moose, or something even bigger. When little Johnny seen the red fur scampering around down below, he thought maybe his dad had snuck something into his cereal this morning, something that would make him see things. The creature looked like a huge deer from what they could see and it looked as though it was something they would not want to get close to. It only took a few seconds for the thing to realize that they were there, and once it did, it lifted its head and gave them the scariest look. Little Johnny thought it was going to eat them with its eyes. The creature stood there for a few seconds, staring. Little Johnny's dad had his gun ready incase something bad was going to happen. The creature’s eyes shifted from one person to another, and when little Johnny and his dad looked at each other for a quick second, the creature disappeared. There was no rustling of leaves or noises of the creature running away, it was just gone. Little Johnny wanted to go down the ravine and explore, see if the giant creature would come back. But his dad was not brave enough. He made little Johnny go to school and forget everything that happened, even though he knew Little Johnny would never let that creature escape his mind.
