Thunder Power

Glance up at the score
bored out of her mind
my little sister watches
the team dig and dive

Coach freaks
when the ball hits the floor
and no one reacts.
The thunder power
blows the serve out the back
makes the team cringe

The roof could get much higher
but it wouldn't help much
especially since the game is done
the home team lost
but the courage never went anywhere
