e trains which track they needed to be on was accidentally run over by the train. People believe that the light is the railway worker still doing his daily job. The mystery began a long time ago, but is still fascinating to people today. "It is a great time to go out there with friends and see the phenomenon" says Gretchen Brendle. Just last weekend a group of her friends and herself went out to see the light. The group were all girls, between the ages of 16 and 18. The group of girls all said they do not believe in ghosts, but this night changed their minds. Gretchen told the story, "we arrived on at the spot where the light appears, people say you are not supposed to part on the old train track, but we didn't listen. We parked on the track and waited. It didn't take long before we seen the light. It was traveling toward us, quite quickly, this was enough to send a shiver down my spine." Did you decide to move your car off the tracks?" "No, we stayed, the light seemed to pass right through our car and keep on moving the other direction. All of us were afraid, we had all gotten a very cold feeling and wanted to leave." "That sounds like a frightening experience." " It really was", Gretchen said in a sad voice. "Thank you for telling your story."
The light is still haunting the young and old today. Some people go beyond wanting to see the light and experience its presence. They may try to figure out the phenomenon. Two girls named Shannon and Alysha decided they wanted to find a solution. They believe that there is a highway placed perfectly that creates the light. The cars on the highway make the light appear, there is a perfect spot that in the hills and trees car headlights can appear. The two girls believe that this is the answer to the mystery of the St. Louis Light.
