Apocalypse

I gazed through the window, looking at the strangest sight I had ever seen and would ever see. The majestic, massive orb slowly turning. The gorgeous blue with the swirling white clouds covering the surface. I wasn't sure where I was at the time. I wasn't at home, I wasn't even on my own planet. I was looking through the biggest window I had ever experienced, looking at the earth. Where was the window, where was I? After admiring the unbelieveable sight, reality smacked me right in the face. Well at least what I thought was reality. I turned around carefully, fearful of what might be behind me. There was nothing to fear, there was nothing at all. Only empty space. It was blinding white, with walls covered in the same massive windows as I was looking through before. I was baffled, with no idea what to do or what was going on I started walking.

Something strange appeared. It was white, as I got closer I started to be able to see what the mysterious object was. It was a mountain covered perfectly in white snow. Although there was snow on the ground the weather did not change. It always stayed room temperate. It was not a far walk before I found an old salloon. There didn't seem to be any people, until I heard the screams. People were running out of the building from every door and window. The people looked sick. Sunken in eyes with dark circles, they were skinny, some only skin and bones. A small girl ran past me and tripped on my foot. She brought me back to the situation. The people had all ran past, and what they were running from was right in front of me.

There layed a huge worm. With a mouth towering over my head. A rawr blasted from the creature, saliva strings attaching me to it. In a split second I looked at my feet. The girl who had tripped still lay there with terror in her eyes. I picked her up, like she weighed nothing. We ran away, the worm chased close behind. Suddenly the worm stopped, so fast that it bounced back. Two huge men had cought it and were now leading it away. I didn't know what just happened and I didn't really want to. I set the little girl down and she ran over to some people I assumed were her family. The older woman holding the small child smiled at me with gratitude in her eyes. Seeing the family together brought to my attention that I had no one. I felt so alone and hungry. I needed resources to survive. But I didn't have any and it didn't seem like anyone else had any either. I had nothing left.
