Mike Rowe’s speech started out with him telling a story about one of his shows of dirty jobs, and a major lesson he learnt through he process. Not only did he learn a lot about sheep and the good ways and bad things about how to work with them, but he also learnt a great life long lesson. When Mike believed it was the wrong way to go, and forced the sheep owners to switch their ways, for the shows sake. But it turned out, towards the end of the episode, that the obvious ways of doing things, is not always the right way to go. Through out the speech he uses multiple examples using his show to prove his point about putting a good idea together and what doing the right thing is.


Some of the things that Mike Rowe said throughout his speech are very easy to agree with, but others you really have to think about and debate whether or not you can agree with it. Throughout the speech Mike brings up the point about following your passion and doing what you love. People who follow their passion don’t make the living or the money of someone who works to help others. This statement makes sense if you think about it, because who ever even has a passion just wants so much to succeed.
